WWE Action Figure – its history throughout the years

As the wrestling gets popular, the famous personalities in the sport become heroes of those who like wrestling. Due to their popularity, action figures of these famous personalities were produced for commercial purposes. The first WWE Action Figure was produced in the year of 1984 by LJN. They were in life size and made of rubber. Later the division that made Action figures of LJN was closed and the WWE signed a new contract with Hasbro to produce WWE action figures. The figures produced by Hasbro were of plastic. Starting from 1990, Hasbro Action Figures were produced up to 1994.  

In the year of 1996, Jakks Pacific Corporation started producing action figure toys. Until 2009, this corporation produced only this type of toys and thereafter started to produce Superstar figures. The micro-chip-fixed WWE Titantron Live Figures were produced next which was enabled to play Superstar theme on the Titan ton play sets. Then came the R-3 technology and figures like Mattel were produced in this line. At the end of 2003, the most famous WWE Action Figure line of Jakks alighted and they were called Ruthless Aggression. After this phenomenal production, Jakks produced its next WWE Deluxe Aggression line and they were expanded with WWE Classic Deluxe action figures. 

In 2010, Mattel came to the arena of WWE Action Figure production. Mattel first produced the action figures in the same line that of Ruthless Aggression. Its flex force figure got more popularity among kids since these figures could be able to function special moves of superstars in the wrestling ring. Later Mattel produced the Entrance Great WWE Action Figure line. Shawn Michael’s entrance gear figure was one of such figure that received immense popularity very fast amongst kids as well as adults. As the year 2010 passed, Mattel started producing WWE legend line action figures. The famous wrestling personalities such as Dusty Rhodes, Hawk, and Steve Austin etc were produced in this line. 

The WWE action figure line is well received today by fans of Wrestling. Every child is in awe of these personalities and when they receive one of them as a WWE action figure, they feel like having being with the living heroes that they see in the wrestling arena with these life size action figures. The WWE action figure line is extremely identical with superstar heroes in the wrestling ring. Collecting them one by one is like producing a valuable history for the generation to come.
