Most of the walk in bathtubs companies in the North America only manufactures inward swinging doors because they are more useful and efficient for sealing the door than the outward opening doors.

• The outward opening door of a walk in bathtub is very small and uncomfortable because when a bathtub has a large volume of water it needed amount of force to keep the door closed. That is why the manufacturer made the outward swinging door small. 
• Outward opening door of walk in bathtub require a significant and complicated latching system that is why these are very expensive and costly. 
Some tub with a door manufacture companies claim that when the emergency arose during the bathing, outward opening door could opened even when the walk in bathtub is full of water.
