German Kitchen retailers and manufacturers Kutchenhaus have opened another kitchen superstore in the well-known City of York.
German Kitchen retailers and manufacturers Kutchenhaus have opened another kitchen superstore in the well-known City of York. The store, which is the fourth to open in five years for the company, occupies an 11,500 sq ft space at the Foss Island Retail Park and is in-fact the largest dedicated kitchen showroom in the Yorkshire region, with some 40 kitchens on display.
Over the last few months, the Kutchenhaus Team have recruited 20 new Team Members for the York store all of whom are from the local area. Norman Parker Kutchenhaus Director said: “Of all the venues which Yorkshire had to offer, we felt that York had to be our flagship store location. It holds everything we feel is required to form the perfect kitchens showroom.”
Complete Kitchens on DisplayThe philosophy behind the York showroom concept is the same as the other Kutchenhaus stores, in that it will only display complete kitchens showcasing all the aspirational features people like to see in their homes. This is somewhat of a contrast to other kitchen retailers’, who generally tend to cram-in as many small kitchens into the space as possible.
Norman Parker Kutchenhaus Director said: “We look for showrooms which are in excess of 10,000 sq ft. so we can confidently display the product. Invariably, wherever we open a Kutchenhaus showroom, it will be the largest and we believe, the best in that particular region. The York showroom alone displays over 40 complete kitchens."
Kutchenhaus offer over 90 different kitchen styles from the ultra contemporary, through to country shaker. They also offer a huge range of appliance partners including Hotpoint, Neff and CDA and alternate work surfaces in granite and corian, enabling them to be a one-stop-shop for kitchen buying.
Norman Parker continues: “As with all our stores, Kutchenhaus York is all about open-space, inspiration and relaxation. As soon as our customers walk through the doors, we want them to enjoy the experience and be amazed at the quality of our product and most importantly the price. Our aim from day one has been to make high quality German kitchens affordable for everyone.”
An average Kutchenhaus kitchen retails at around £8000 and that includes appliances, plus further time and money can be saved on installation because the units come rigid built direct from the factory. Every kitchen is designed and built specifically for each individual customer bringing all that is best about a bespoke service down to an affordable price.
The Latest in KitchensKutchenhaus units feature all the latest technologies you would expect from a top quality German manufacturer including, perfect height units, extra storage solutions, soft close drawers, clever corner units, progressive door closing hinges and the latest built-in appliances.
Kutchenhaus is the sister company to Nobilia, the largest kitchen manufacturer in the world, which makes 2000 plus kitchens every day from their factory in Germany. Where Nobilia differ to other kitchen manufacturers is in their sheer capacity and ability to deliver a quality product at a price, never before seen in the UK. Recent comparisons show that a Kutchenhaus kitchen is typically half the price of those found for sale in the independent retailers.
The Nobilia Headquarters have in-fact just held their annual ‘Open House Event’ which had more than 10,000 visitors from across the globe. The event which takes place annually showcases the forthcoming year’s collection. This year’s show titled ‘Dimension n’ focussed on planning kitchens around perfect form and comfortable ergonomics.
Norman continues: “Despite the credit crunch Kutchenhaus continues to be a success. We were delighted to receive confirmation during the recent Open House event in Germany that the Board of Directors have given the go-ahead for more stores to open rapidly across the UK. Our seven year plan is to open a minimum of five new stores per annum across the UK, which upon completion will give Kutchenhaus national coverage.”
Kutchenhaus store locations are currently in Manchester, Chester and Halifax. For further details visit the Kutchenhaus website www.kutchenhaus.co.uk.
