Do you know how many subscribers actually open and read your ezine? The one you put a lot of time into and want better results from?  Probably less than 50%.Whether you use Constant Contact or 1ShoppingCart,Five Unique Content Tips to Get your Ezine Opened and Read Articles or send from your own list, you may be losing  potential buyers because subscribers want more valuable information and inspiring copy. Each of us needs to tweak our e-newsletters with inspiring and useful content. Here's 5 Ways1. Use a Survey. In order to market to your audience you need to answer the questions and priorities they have. One survey I sent out 2 years ago asked subscribers to tell me their problems they had with article marketing.  They didn't send enough out; they didn't lead with a strong hook or made other writing mistakes so they didn't get published enough and they gave up too soon.Based on this survey, a book was birthed of the nine article marketing mistakes and their solutions. You see, whether you write a book, write a sales letter, or write an article, you need to answer the questions your audience has, not just tell what you know in order to attract and give them good reasons to buy.2. Show your Expertise in your Ezine Content.Of course you want to let your readers know of all the good things you can offer them, but first, give them information they need and want. Open your newsletter with the feature article or tip you've written. Coordinate the how-to article with a particular product or service you want to feature in the same issue. The article with specific answers gets your audience to realize you are the expert who they can turn to when they are ready. Don't worry about giving away the store. The more you share, the more your expert status rises, and the more clients and sales come to you. Let your clients know about your other services too. One author/ coach offered a hand submission service for article marketing and explained why it was better than the article marketing blasting services. She tried one that was touted as the best and found endless problems including not sending on time, and program problems that denied the articles, articles she knew were good because  she submitted them and 200 others to the top article directories including ezinearticles.com. They were accepted there. Allign yourself with other experts. Exchange tips with each other. When you set yourselves up as the experts, you can offer a teleseminar to follow up. The tips market the seminar. You both win and so do your readers. 3. Get your Readers to your Web Site with Links to New News.In each ezine, choose a heading Why Visit My Web Site? Then list the new web content with a link. They can just click and they are there viewing your new articles and tips.  The more time your audience spends on your website, the better chance you have of making a sale. Your ezine should always be somewhat commercial, so don't neglect  your purpose-to stay in business and keep giving to your wonderful subscribers. 4. Offer Free Advice in your Ezine with a Q and A. link.Your audience probably has questions about a problem or challenge. Offer them immediate access. Through 1Shoppingcart or another opt-in ezine service, when you give a Q link in your ezine, you can get feedback from your audience that comes in an email to you by autoresponder. That's the benefit of using these services. This new subscriber list expands your power because it's from them to you, not you to them.  These are pre-qualified customers. 5.Make your Subject Line Count.Whether you program your ezine to go out with a service or from your own office, let your readers know that what's inside is all-important. Every day I get ezine subject lines that dont' inspire me to open.  Like "John's News," or Sarah's Monthly Seminars." Instead, place your feature article title in the subject line. Let your readers see the gold. Then, they are more likely to open it and read it. When you can get people to read all you say, you have set up a two-way relationship made in heaven. When your reader finishes the copy, he can then share what he got from it with his friends and associates. That's a new 24/7 sales team.
