Putting ads on your website can make you money! Or can it?

Whether you’re an existing website owner or new to the internet life altogether, you can benefit from these Do’s and Don’ts

Do’s

1.)                Search for the ads that will make you money each time someone clicks on them.

2.)                Make sure the companies you are using are reputable and are known payers when money is earned.

3.)                Check around on other websites that are known and see who they are using. But most of all see who they are not using. There is usually a trend.

4.)                When you receive your add HTML code, make sure you place the ad where it will be most effective. The bottom of a page in the box that has your copyright in it will allow the viewer to see your ads on every page in your site.

5.)                If you are able to: Pick a color scheme that is not at all the same as your page so it is noticed.

Don’ts

1.)                Do not place any ads on your site that are not related to your products.

2.)                Do not place an ad on your site that will make your products look menial compared to the ad products.

3.)                Do not click on an ad you place on your link that you are making money on a pay per click! This will cause you to lose your ad in most circumstances.

4.)                Do not place an ad on your site that you personally feel is uninviting. Odds are the traffic you have worked so hard to get there will feel the same way.

5.)                Do not make the ads bigger than your own product ads.
