The Anime: Kidou Tenshi Angelic Layer

In 2001,Clamp, a famous four females Japanese Manga/animation writer collective, brought their 1999 Manga, Kidou Tenshi Angelic Layer to America under the title Angelic Layer. Kidou Tenshi Angelic Layer is about a 12 year old child, Misaki Suzuhara, who just transfers to Tokyo (for what reason you would not realize till later but anyways). She sees two marionettes fighting on a big screen in the city fighting it out in an ring known as Angelic Layer. She becomes captivated in this and wants to selected herself. She meets this man covered in a physician uniform named Icchan (Mr.Icchan), who seems to already know quite a bit about her, teaches her the fundamentals of the game. After knowing the activity she wins her original official match and is selected to picked in a tournament where she will meet one of her rivals and soon to be friend.

Later on she finds herself becoming very skilled at this game like it was always in her blood to play this activity, and to find out that a very important person to her has been the champion of this game for some time, her matron. Misaki and her matron fight it out in an grand battle that is filled with passion, perseverance, and deification.

Overall, Angelic Layer represents that no matter how huge or small you are, overcoming the hardest obstacles can be achieved as long as you believe in yourself and your abilities. This anime hits the hearts of every growing teen facing hardships in their life.
