The summer monsoon looks set to gain traction on the Indian subcontinent within as little as a few days. The Monsoon normally advances into northern and western India during the first half of June. But this season of monsoon seems to be a bit early in eastern parts of country. States of Himachal and Bihar facing heat have gone through chilly weathers. In latest Himachal Pradesh news heavy showers were seen in most parts of Himachal Pradesh while high-altitude tribal areas received mild snowfall. The state facing the maximum heat till date has been provided much needed relief to people. For the past two to three weeks the temperature was six to eight degrees above normal. In the state capital Shimla, heavy rains and thunderstorm lasted for about two hours, causing a sharp fall in the mercury. Most parts in the state saw gentle sprinkle, bringing the temperatures down considerably. State of Bihar on today morning also saw heavy and continuous rainfall instantly decreasing the maximum and minimum temperatures. In Bihar news, mild showers throughout the day kept the weather cool and despite of going out in rain people felt relieved and happy. Earlier temperature of around 40 degree Celsius, was affecting businesses as well as crops in the state. But, this gentle rainfall has now relived the state’s agriculture. In the state capital, Patna, heavy rainfall disturbed the traffic movement and traffic jams were seen in most parts of the city. Further, clogging of water in several areas increased the worries of people. But, state government looked quite active and prepared for the cause and immediate actions were taken. Several suction pumps were deployed in water clogging areas. [Latest News - Punjab news]Yet after mild rainfalls in most of eastern India, Punjab seems to face the high temperature a bit longer. With state’s average temperature around 41 degree Celsius, people look in a bit worried and are praying for showers. In Punjab news, temperature around cities were shown in which, the Moga district face the highest temperature of around 45 degree Celsius. Cities near to Himachal-Punjab border areas felt a bit slowdown in temperature with rainfall in Himachal Pradesh. Baddi and Una, two cities near the border has dropdown in temperatures. The monsoon is yet to arrive in mid June for the state Punjab. This year has also been harsh for farmers there due to high temperatures and no rainfall. But, the state’s irrigation facilities are up to standards and well maintained.
