Trends for Autumn/Winter 08

There is really something for everyone this season. Whether your fashion stylist recommends you to wear brights,London Fashion Stylist reviews Autumn/Winter Collections Articles red or mauve or autumnal colours you will find it. Shapes will flapper most figures from fitted to blouson depending on what your proportions are. Use a Personal Shopper to seek out some of the key signature looks as many are classics and can be worn for a few seasons.

Tartan.

The Highland look was everywhere with tartan appearing as blouses, blouson jackets, fitted jackets and mini skirts. A great way to wear this look is to combine a fitted jacket or blouse with jeans and high boots. Tartan minis always look great with soft jumpers and opaque tights.

Colours.

Purple is the new black and is in all the shops it will suit cold blue/pink complexions best. Bright blue is also around and looks fab teamed with black. Brights are everywhere and work really well with bright warm complexions. Red is key for this season and works especially well in dresses, jumpers and jumper dresses. Great for Xmas! To identify what colours will suit you best a Personal Shopper or Style Consultant will help you spot the  colours that maximise your natural skin tones.

Pants.

Truly every style is available, ones to look for are cigarette style, high waisted ones that flare out are very flattering. Colours are black, grey.

Military.

Military coats and jackets are back. Black with silver, black with gold, red with black are key colours to look for. Pieces will have epaulettes , braiding, metallic buttons. This works very well with pants and high boots.

Gothic and lace.

Use the see through lace to soften the Gothic look or where it on its own. Lace is very feminine and sexy and there are beautiful blouses and dresses on offer.

Autumn colours.

The Scottish look prevails again with soft autumnal shades in tweeds and plaid shirts. Combine soft colours with cashmere jumpers for a truly highland look. These colours suit muted warm skins best.

Folk.

Think smocks, embroidered tops, yoke necks in silk or cotton. Combine these with pendant jewellery and Gilet faux fur for a full folksy look. Flat boots a la Sienna Miller also work well.

Black.

The LBD is alive and well, a new cocoon shape is influencing the catwalk but there are plenty of tight figure hugging ones too. Combine with opaques and high heels or use lace underneath to create drama.
