The expo will roll out the red carpet for some of Hollywood's most beloved animal actors. Attendees will have the chance to meet famous pets such as Angel and Rusco, the charming duo from Disney's "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" series, Stella from "Modern Family," and Yakult from "Suburgatory." Other notable appearances include Charlie the cat from "A.N.T. Farm," Owen the cockatiel from "Austin & Ally," and Suzie Q from "Mike & Molly." These celebrity pets will be available for meet-and-greets, offering fans a unique opportunity to interact with their favorite on-screen animals.
For the first time, the expo will welcome dogs to join in the fun on "Fido Friday," April 20th. This special day allows visitors to bring their canine companions to explore designated areas of the expo. Requirements include a non-retractable leash, proof of spaying or neutering, and adherence to designated "potty areas."
This year's expo introduces a Reptile Sale and Show, where 20% of booth sales will support The United States Association of Reptile Keepers (USARK). This segment of the expo will allow visitors to get up close and personal with a variety of reptiles, offering hands-on demonstrations and educational insights into responsible reptile ownership.
The expo will feature a plethora of animal-themed entertainment, including the "Kids Aquarium Contest," "Salute to Hollywood Pets Parade," and "JUMP! The Ultimate Dog Show." In 2011, over 680 animals found new homes through the expo, and this year, organizations like No Stray Left Behind and Barks of Love will be present to help more animals find loving families.
The America's Family Pet Expo is organized by the World Pet Association, Inc., a nonprofit organization with a 60-year history of promoting responsible pet care.
