The market of vacation properties in Bulgaria continues its increasing height both in mountain and sea resorts. The demand is formed by private individuals from Great Britain and Irland, following by Bulgarians, living abroad, as well as citizens of Russia, Germany and Scandinavian countries.
According to marketing research made by ICB Properties, offering of holiday estates in Bulgarian ski resorts has increased almost four times from June 2005 till December 2006.Only for the last six months the height is above 50 %.Great part of the present offering is in the region of Bansko. As a result of the sharp jump in price of land there, the new offering is expected to be directed to Borovets and Pamporovo.
ICB Properties research shows that offering of vacation villas in coastal regions has raised as well. A bit above 35 000 is the number of the properties offered for sale in this market, indicating 53 % growth for the last six months – from June 2005 to December 2006.One third of the offering is concentrated in Sunny Beach resort where the raising is 65 % for the last 6 months.
The focus on both mountain and coastal resorts is removed to smaller and middle sized resorts because of the raised prices of land and big density of building.
