I recently wrote a complete list of the things I wanted to do before I die. I recorded them in my online journal so I can view them anytime I want. Since I have written my list, I have already done things I never thought possible. Here are some of those dreams.
THE DREAM
My father and I have talked about attending the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia for years. I always thought that I would someday be able to go, but never imagined it would be so soon; and here’s how it all started.
THE LIST
It just so happens that my wife and I decided to create a list of the things we wanted to do before we die, inspired by a recent move. So, we were dining at our favorite Thai restaurant and started making a list of all those things we wanted to do in life that were personal, not work related. Some of mine included going to the Masters, attending a symphony orchestra, going to Europe, and so much more.
Well, by the time my list was complete in that one single day, I had already recorded on paper about 30 things. I decided that I needed a safe and private place to put my list and so I recorded everything in an online journal. With this, I could make my list, make notes on the day(s) that I completed certain dreams, and even upload photos that chronicle the events of the dream come true. A private online journal was a great place to do this because I can access it from anywhere.
THE DREAMS COME TRUE
You wouldn’t believe, but within two weeks of making my list, my father called me with outstanding news. He had been given two tickets to the Sunday round at the Masters, and he wanted me to go with him. What a great weekend he and I shared at the Masters; first we played golf at different courses on Friday and Saturday, and then we attended the final round of the Masters on Sunday. It was true euphoria.
I was so amazed that the things on my list were already coming to fruition; I logged back into my journal, added some more items and looked to see what would be good to do next. So, I noticed that one stood out, which was attending a symphony orchestra. My wife and I had always wanted to go, so I just hopped right online and ordered tickets and now my wife and I can mark that off our list. We loved it, and will definitely go again.
THE POWER OF JOURNALING
Yes, you could easily keep a journal in traditional form, or write the list of things you want to do before you die on a piece of paper. However, you may lose these items, and if you really want complete privacy and anonymity, a private online journal is really the best alternative. Creating a journal, or even making a list of your dreams will not necessarily make them come true, however, by writing them down and going back to look at them often, you will be definitely be more likely to make those dreams a reality, much sooner than later. I did! Create your private online journal today!
