Nokias X7 is a stylish and great quality phone but sadly the Samsung Galaxy S2 offers higher specification in most areas which further cements its claim of being the best phone currently available.

To date any handset we have attempted to compare to the superb Samsung Galaxy S2 has failed to match the excellent quality that is offered by this phone.  The balance between functionality and specification is perfect with a Super AMOLED display joining a dual core processor and a revamped Touchwiz user interface to complete the perfect phone package  The handset is one of those rare models that excels in every area and it will genuinely take a special handset to come close to it.  So can Nokias latest multi media smartphone the X7 succeed where others have failed?A refreshing aspect of both of these models is that they are both very pleasing on the eye but in very different ways.  The Samsung Galaxy S2 is one of the most slimline handsets that you are likely to encounter at just 8.5mm in depth.  Not only is this very appealing in itself but when coupled with the new angular design the handset takes on an ultra modern and sleek look.  In contrast to this the Nokia X7 takes a different approach by maintaining the same angular design but instead of giving the handset a rectangular appearance like the majority of other phones the X7 takes on the appearance of a stretched octagon.  This really does make the phone stand out amongst the competition but the extra depth on this model ultimately makes the Samsung the more desirable phone.  Both phones use a form of AMOLED technology for their displays but where Nokia offer a 4 inch screen the S2 ups the ante by giving you a large 4.3 inch screen together with a very slim Super AMOLED display which results in crystal clear pictures and a natural depth of colour not often found on mobile handsets. With both models sporting such large displays they are perfect for a wide range of multi media usage and when viewing such material the storage capacity on each phone becomes very important.  The Samsung Galaxy S2 predictably comes out on top in this department thanks to a hefty 16GB or 32GB of internal storage which is joined my a micro SD card slot that enables a further 32GB of material to be stored.  The Nokia X7 offers the same external media capabilities but lacks the internal space boasted by the Samsung and gives it users 350MB.  In terms of speed the Nokia sports a fast 680Mhz processor which adequately handles everything that is asked of it.  As you may well imagine the Samsung Galaxy S2 takes things a step further by including a dual core chip which at 1.2Ghz is nearly double the speed.  Both of these processors are ARM produced chips so they are both reliable and impressive but the massive difference in speed ensures the Samsung comes out on top in this area.  Nokias X7 is a stylish and great quality phone but sadly the Samsung Galaxy S2 offers higher specification in most areas which further cements its claim of being the best phone currently available. The Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Nokia X7 are available now.
