We've all sent the metal detectors into a frenzy at the airport; whether it's our watch,Airport Security to Get Even Tougher on Smart Phone Users Articles belt buckle, or shoelace, there's one thing for certain: we've all sounded the alarm at some stage and been 'patted down' by a burly, emotionless woman in blue uniform and disposable gloves. The first occasion is a thrill, a buzz of excitement at innocently breaking the rules, but after six or seven times the novelty begins to wear off.
Of course, airport security is a hugely important element of air travel, however, when we are subjected to heightened measures of security, many of us find cause to complain, disregarding any thought to our well-being in favor of a grizzly, petulant attitude. So, to those of you who don't respect your safety it will come as testament to you that airport security is set to tighten - particularly for those of us who own smart phones, which is pretty much all of us.
It has recently emerged that international terror group, Al Qaeda, have found ways to exploit airport metal detectors, using an ingenious ploy to stash microscopic explosive devices in smart phones, a ploy that is currently undetectable. It is believed that inbound flights to the USA from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East will be strictly monitored by security and seeing as smart phones are incredibly popular, if this report is true, we can surely expect longer waiting times at airport security.
However, there's no need to panic and go cutting off all ties to the outside world, the only thing to concern yourself about is making sure you spare enough time at the airport to catch your flight to Miami for your two week holiday!
