Blackberry are launching a fresh assault on the touchscreen market with two new models that incorporate a large screen and powerful processors.  The Torch 9860 and 9810 follow in the footsteps of previous Torch models but with many improvements over earlier models.  Here we take a look at what these two phones have to offer. The Blackberry Torch 9860 is the model that will undoubtedly tempt the users who are looking for style as well as substance.  The total lack of a physical keypad means that this model boasts some impressive overall measurements which include a depth of just 11.5mm.  This really does make this model look unlike other Blackberrys and more similar to one of the many Android devices that is currently available.  The large 3.7 inch display is not only eye catching for its superb quality but also it unusual 15:9 ratio that makes it look much thinner than many rival models.  Many Blackberry lovers may be concerned about the lack of a keypad on this device but the display offers a great virtual alternative with the keys being both responsive and well sized.  A 1.2Ghz processor easily handles all manner of tasks at great speed and the presence of the latest version of the Blackberry operating system makes the interface look better than ever,An Introduction To the Blackberry Torch 9810 And The 9860 Articles an area which often disappointed on previous offerings.  Camera wise this new model offers users a great 5 mega pixel camera in addition to a video capture facility capable of capturing 720P resolution which means the results can be classified as high definition. The Blackberry Torch 9810 takes a slightly different approach from the 9860 by reducing some areas of specification but adding a Qwerty keypad located on a slider mechanism behind the screen.  This will appeal to users who want a large screen smartphone but who also want the functionality of the full keypad.  This extra element does add some extra bulk to this model so it measures a large 14.6mm deep but nobody expects a wafer thin design from such a device.  The screen is smaller than the 9860 at 3.2 inches but it is still an impressive offering.  Looking at the physical keypad there is no doubting that it is well constructed which is what we have come to expect from a Blackberry.  The mechanism itself feels robust but the keys do feel a little more crowded than on other models such as the Bold 9900.  The same 1.2Ghz processor is present in this model so expect similar performance times to the Torch 9860.These are two impressive new models from RIM.  The Blackberry Torch 9860 is everything that we have come to expect from a Torch device whilst the 9810 offers a great compromise between this model and the previously released Bold 9900.The Blackberry Torch 9810 and the Blackberry Torch 9860 are available now.
