The Samsung Galaxy Tablet is one of the most widely sought tablets on the market. There a number of reasons one would seek it. First,Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1-Inch 32GB Wi-Fi Tablet Articles it runs the Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) version of the open operating system. This gives one access to more than 200,000 applications that will can run easily and quickly on the Galaxy.

Equipped with a dual-core Tegra II processor, the Galaxy, which is about the same size as the Apple iPad, is available in 16 and 32GB versions. This means the Galaxy offers one a great deal of memory for multitasking work. For example, with the Galaxy's screen, you can float four or five apps that you regularly access and use and keep them open, while, at the same time, one can access and use other, lesser-used apps.

One of the keys that few think about in the tablet world is what happens when you simply run out of memory space? Samsung has the answer in the form of a 5,400-spin backup hard drive. It does make one less likely to lose one's data than if one is depending on memory drives along.

Interestingly, studies have shown that it does not take long to use up even 32 GB of memory, so it does pay to have the added safety of the hard-drive available.

The high-definition Galaxy uses the GEForce ULP Graphics chipset. This chip set delivers 1280 by 800 high-definition quality video. This video can be streamed and thanks to the dual-core high-speed processor, there is very little "buffering" needed, even though this device is Network Centric via WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n. Note the different varieties of connectivity available. This means that the Galaxy can operate on with older routers that recognize only b/g, while it can also work wit new routers that offer /a recognition. Finally, the Galaxy will recognize mobile hotspots thanks to the /n capability. This boils down to allowing one access to the rapidly growing network of WiFi networks that rare spreading across the country.

The Galaxy is compatible with next generation apps as well as with millions of websites because it recognizes Flash 10.1.

The Galaxy is a device that operates primarily in on GSM frequencies such as 800, 2000 and 2100 MHz while it also offers Edge/GPRS compatibility with 850, 900, 1800 and 1900. This does limit the number of networks with which it is compatibility to Verizon or T-Mobile or AT&T, still that is quite a variety for a user.

Of more importance, though, is the fact that you are not limited to an operating system and paying for the apps it offers as you will find if you choose an Apple iPad over the Samsung.

The Galaxy's Li-poly offers up to 10 hours of charge while it also offers USB 2.0, Bluetooth, as well as a 30-pin I/O connector.

It is quite obvious that the Samsung Galaxy is a serious player in the network tablet market is it has a larger screen than the Apple, more applications and the freedom to customize it as you need it. One is not locked into a specific operating system as Android is open and growing every day.
