The HTC Desire has been available for some time now, and it has proven to be spectacularly popular. It is still seen as the flagship Android smartphone, showcasing everything good about the operating system.

Android 2.1 (Eclair) is the operating system of choice; however this is easily upgraded to later versions.  Alongside a 1GHz processor, a fantastic user experience is assured.  The HTC Sense UI is highly customisable, and the processor allows almost instantaneous loading of apps along with lightening fast speeds of the touchscreen and user interface in general.  As is common with most android smartphones, and standard package of Google features is included along with social networking integration and comprehensive multimedia compatibility.

 

A recent survey in the UK has shown HTC desire is steadily creeping up on sales of the Apple iPhone series.  With stats like this, it is easy to see that this phone pixel the boxes and provides a great user experience.  Therefore it looks set to continue its strong sales, and to continue converting fans of other smartphone brands to HTC.
