Get ready to be pampered at this year's Whisky Live.
Southeast Asia’s largest Whisk(e)y and Spirits show, Whisky Live 2016, returns for its seventh year in Singapore. This year is the event’s biggest endeavour yet, with big distilleries such as Macallan, Kilchoman and Littlemill joining the Show. According to Matthew Musnier, General Manager of La Maison du Whisky, the show has seen a double digit growth in the number of female attendees, with women making up 35% of guests last year.
Need more reasons to join in the fun this year? Here are the top 5 reasons to be a part of the growing community of women appreciating whisky:
This year’s show will feature an exclusive Ladies’ Room operated by Vaniday. The perfect place to put your feet up in between sampling whiskies, the Ladies’ Room allows female VIP guests to pamper themselves through manicures, pedicures and touch-ups. Sit back, relax and allow the professionals to treat your skin and nails.
Whisky Live welcomes guests irrespective of their previous experience with whisky appreciation. Whether you are a novice or seasoned connoisseur, The Show’s educational feel provides a non-intimidating platform for you to ask distillery owners questions directly and learn more about your favourite drink.
This year, Whisky Live Singapore will have its biggest show yet, showcasing close to 300 expressions and over 60 whisk(e)y and spirit brands for guests: Guests will also see the return of some of the world’s most notable distilleries such as Glenfiddich, Dalmore, Kavalan, Aberlour, Mortlach, Nikka and many more. For spirits, crowd favourites Monkey 47, Chalong Bay, and Don Papa will make their mark at the Show. With masterclasses focusing on everything from whisky casks to rum, there are many avenues to further your knowledge of the whisky and spirits scene.
Cocktail lovers will delight in the line-up for this year’s event with the attendance of Rogerio Igarashi Vaz, co-founder of Bar Trench and Bar Tram in Japan.
Bar Trench, chosen as one of the world’s 100 best bars in 2014 by World’s Best Bars, will be recreated exclusively at Whisky Live 2016. Rogerio himself will be on hand to craft exclusive creations showcasing the latest cocktail trends from Japan. There is no better place to ask questions and discover more about the up-and-coming cocktail scenes.
In conjunction with the event, Executive Chef of Capella Hotel Chef David Nicolas Senia will be creating a unique and memorable dining experience especially for attendees. Known for his culinary excellence of drawing inspiration from new experience with local flavours, Chef David is inspired to create a menu based on whisky as a key ingredient for his dishes.
Guests attending Whisky Live 2016 can expect a refreshing approach to food at the event and they will have the opportunity to experience 2 portions of the food per day.
