The very first step is to rephrase the statements instead of using the direct statements. These statements as it is used are caught in the plagiarism software. In order to avoid plagiarism, one should change the words and the entire sentence, so that the software cannot catch your written material. Paraphrase the statements in such a way that the sentence structure and the vocabulary is changed and make sure you mention reference to the original source material if used in the dissertation. Be selective in what you want to write and make sure it should be concise. Enclose all the original material in the double quotes and write the source from where you have copied the material. It is sometimes necessary to write the original material in the dissertation due to some formulas or the results, so mark the reference number with the statement used.
