Heart with a string

She is a short girl with long reddish hair and a pair of dark wings with a heart on a string. I met her on a dark night and I believe, she is found in those times. The times when the sky of life gets dark and people are hidden in corners, that is when, you see her, holding her lantern of a heart that glows in the dark. She comes with a smile, with tiny steps, she nods her head and leads the way. In the light of her heart, you will see the road, that leads you back to light and more.

And when you have reached your way out of dark, you will be blinded with joy by what you find. There will be light and there will be people, as you wished it to be. But when you turn around, you will realize, she will be gone, somewhere, where sight can not reach. And the dark and the silent night will seem like a dream.

What you will not realize easily, is that girl was once just like you, lost in dark all alone. With no one to rescue her, she reached out only to find void in dark. Then over time, she taught her heart, one beat at a time, to glow. She had long lost her way by then. So, she comes to rescue you. And the lantern she holds is her own heart tied to the string. Some call her heartless, some call her the night queen, who knows what she is, that girl with her heart on a string!
