If your livelihood depends on logistics or haulage jobs, the EasyFairs Transport and Logistics trade show, in Norway, is a highly recommended event.
With the increasing rate of globalisation, logistics is becoming one of our most vital and rapidly expanding industries. Anyone working in this fast-paced environment needs to keep a constant eye on new developments in technology, products, services and solutions in order to gain (and keep) a competitive edge.
Whether you work on the management team for large multi-national or you're simply an owner-operator making a living from haulage jobs, attending industry events and joining associations or communities is essential to stay relevant and profitable.
While there are a number of high-profile trade shows around Europe in 2016, one of the largest and most important is the EasyFairs Transport and Logistics, held in Norway.
EasyFairs Transport and Logistics, Norway
In February 2016, the EasyFairs Transport and Logistics event will take place at the Norges Varemesse centre in Lillestrøm, Norway. Arguably the most significant date on the annual calendar for the transport and logistics industries, the multi format event focuses on education, networking, entertainment, and transactions.
Who Exhibits?
The event offers industry innovators a platform to launch their products and ideas into the global market. Many leading suppliers of transport, logistics and distribution solutions are scheduled to exhibit and include: packaging manufacturers; coding, labelling and printing systems and technology; software solutions; payment solutions; ecommerce solutions; warehousing and handling systems and software; transportation and distribution; ports, terminals and customs; control and inspection systems – and many more.
Who Attends?
Attendees of the show will have the valuable opportunity to make new contacts and see first hand the latest in technology, storage and transportation solutions. Those expected to attend include: warehouse managers; supply chain managers; plant managers; marketing directors; logistics managers; production managers; and small business operators who earn their living from haulage jobs.
What's On?
As well as being able to see the most up to date innovations, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in up to 50 free seminars, featuring speakers from all over the world. These educational platforms have been specifically designed to enhance the skills and competencies of those working within the transport and logistics industries. While the seminar programme is yet to be released for the 2016 event, sessions with representatives from Innovasjon Norge (the Norwegian government body representing innovation and development in enterprise) have been confirmed.
How to Get There
If you're planning on attending this important trade show, you'll need to fly in to Oslo Airport, in Norway. The public transport infrastructure in Oslo is excellent, with trains running from the airport into the centre of the city and also to Lillestrøm. The Norges Varemesse is situated very close to Lillestrøm station, with a taxi rank directly outside the exhibition centre.
Disruptions to the supply and distribution chain can cause delays to production and haulage jobs. This can send operating costs spiralling, so there are certainly compelling reasons for everyone working in the industry to keep up to date with the latest solutions. For anyone looking to streamline and improve the supply chain of their business, attending the EasyFairs Transport and Logistics trade show in Norway is simply a must.
