Pegboard display racks are versatile display fixtures that can help you make the most of your store’s display space as well as attractively and conveniently display your store’s merchandise.

However,How to Display Merchandise with Pegboard Displays Articles unlike some other kinds of merchandise display fixtures, pegboards require a bit more planning than simply choosing a style of container and where to place it. There are a variety of different kinds of pegboards to choose from, and each one works best in certain areas of your store as well as with certain kinds of merchandise and certain kinds of display accessories.

Before you start looking for pegboards for your store’s displays, take a look at the three steps below. They’ll help you better understand your options and choose the perfect pegboard for your needs!

Step One: Learn the Types of Pegboard Displays

Like so many other kinds of merchandise display fixtures, pegboard display tools are available in a number of different sizes, styles, and even colors. Because of this variety, it’s easy to find pegboard racks to fit every store’s display space, décor, and merchandise.

You can find both fixed-position pegboard racks and spinning pegboard racks, and you can find pegboard displays designed for countertop displays and floor displays. Some pegboard racks are designed with flat panels, giving you two panels on which you can situate your merchandise, and some pegboard display racks are designed with four panels, offering a “cube” shaped rack with four sides for you to display merchandise.

Pegboard displays are also available in traditional clear or white, or you can find them in a variety of bright colors like orange, blue, yellow, green, and purple.

Step Two: Decide Where to Situate Your Pegboard Display

Once you’re familiar with the types of pegboard displays available, it’s time to decide where in your store you want to situate the fixture.

Be sure to consider:
  • Your countertop space. Pegboard racks are great for nearly every countertop, because they make the most of the display space on small countertops and expand the display space on large countertops.
  • Your floor space. If you have a lot of floor space to work with, you might want to choose the four-paneled pegboards; if you have little floor space to work with, you might want to choose the flat two-panel displays.
  • Your merchandise. The amount of merchandise you want to display on your pegboard will help you determine the size of the fixtures to use, the number of fixtures to use, and even the style (countertop or floor) fixtures to use.
Step Three: Consider Pegboard Display Accessories

Pegboard racks are designed to be used with certain other kinds of display accessories, such as pegs or hooks, hanging buckets or cubes, trays, and even tower extensions.

You’ll know which accessories you’ll need once you know which pegboard racks are right for your display space and the kinds merchandise you want to display, but keep in mind that accessories like pegs and hooks work best with merchandise that you can hand (such as small bags of items or jewelry or hair accessories on cards) while hanging cubes, buckets, and trays work best with merchandise you can’t hang.
