Over the years, many different companies have attempted to market and sell Automatic Winchester Gauges and other Pressure Gauge products. The main question that arises is "Winchester Gauges do what other brands don't?" This is a valid question and one that I wish to address in this article. In short, there are two types of digital pressure gauge instruments. The first type is digital, automatic pressure gauge instruments and the other type is digital accumulator gauge instruments.
Digital Gauge Instruments Digital automatic pressure gauge instruments use digital electronics to display and record measured values. The digital range includes a wide range of voltages and amperage ranges. Many companies have developed digital accumulators which are able to record higher frequencies. Most of the digital automatic gauges have an LCD display which makes it very easy to read and determine measurements.
Accumulator Gauge Instruments Accumulator gauges are digital accumulators that are either manually or digitally controlled. The digital accumulator contains a circuit that feeds through an electrical source when it receives a trigger from the trigger mechanism. Once the trigger is activated, the circuit measures and stores the accumulated voltage. The range indicator displays the maximum and minimum ranges.
The digital range indicator is different from the digital gauges because it has a backlight. Many digital accumulators are equipped with a backlight and the digital range indicator does not. The digital range is only accurate to about 100 feet. A digital accumulator can measure high frequency noise as well as RF signals. The main advantage to digital gauges is that they have a much longer life than analog accumulators and do not require battery replacement as often.
Counter Gauge System the counter gauge system is used to measure and indicate ranges. The two types of counter gauges are digital and mechanical. The digital range indicator is a small hand held unit that is fixed to the counter or wall. It has a long arm that reaches up and down the wall. The mechanical range indicator is another type of counter gauge that is mounted on the ceiling.
The digital range indicator and the counter gauge both come in different sizes so they can be used interchangeably. The auto-ranging technology is an essential part of many different types of gauges, including Digital Pressure Gauge (DPG) and Digital Multimeters. These gauges are used to indicate ranges and help with tasks like welding and automotive maintenance. They can be used for range finding as well as precise range measurement. Auto-ranging gauges are great tools to have in your tool box if you have a workshop or do any type of manual labor.
