During the middle ages, around various regions of Europe, diamonds were believed to be miraculous healers of different types of infections and illnesses. However, that reputation faded away when a Pope lost his life a few days after using a remedy made of crushed diamonds and mushrooms. Research later proved that the Pope was simply poisoned but that remedial reputation never came back as people didn’t want to take chances.
We’ve come a really long way from those times and science proves that diamonds don’t really give you invincible power. They are, however, one of the strongest gemstones. The only thing that can scratch a diamond is another diamond. The world is so advanced with technology now that diamonds can even be developed with the help of expensive machinery, in a lab, known as lab grown or manufactured diamonds. Lab grown diamonds are now becoming extremely popular with the newer generation, due to the number of advantages that differentiate them from naturally mined diamonds.
A unique lab grown diamond is a lot more affordable than a unique looking mined diamond. They’ve got the same chemical properties and the same optical appeal. The only difference is that they’re not natural.
