How to develop the quality of Loyalty
In life there is too little appreciation for one another. It doesn’t take very much to thank people for what they have done for you especially if those people have had any sort of major impact on your life.
Loyalty is very much a forgotten quality amongst people who don’t have a natural appreciation of what life has given them. I have devoted my life to self-improvement and will not allow loyalty and appreciation die without trying to instill its virtues into others.
Worthy of Thanks
While there are many persons to thank for our lot in life, sometimes there are a select few who stand out that have had a dramatic effect on influencing the track you have followed and success you have achieved.
These people have been directly responsible for your success. Ask yourself how often have you told them how much they mean to you? It’s simple but do we do it when it counts?
Recently in Australia we had Steve Irwin pass away. I live a short 40-minute drive from where his zoo is located. Steve has now been recognised for his efforts as shown on the television but may not have been told to him, told to his family and friends after his passing.
Tell Them You Love Them
How often do we have the opportunity to tell people we love them and ignore the opportunity even when they stand beside us, ALIVE! Don’t forget to tell all those you love or appreciate what they mean to you. After all we are on this earth for only a small time.
It is for this reason that I would like to recognise the people that all had a part in pointing me in the right direction on my journey to business success.
Special People
Mrs. Shonahan was my grade 2 teacher. She was a hard as nails and put the fear of God into me if I didn’t do my homework. I thank her for instilling in me the idea that when I do something I should do it well or not at all.
Mr Stag was my grade 4 teacher who was responsible for showing me the importance of using discipline as a tool to help me improve. I did the hard yards using any means available to and gained the rewards.
Mr Tony Green was my first and most influential business mentor. He gave me the philosophy for success. I mention Tony throughout my book and how he influenced my life.
W Clement Stone, author of the book “The Success System That Never Fails”, influenced my life by providing me the ingredients for success.
Last, but not least, was Siegfried Konig a dynamic individual who taught me how to think big with a lucid mind.
These individuals will remain in my mind and heart and I will always be grateful for the advice and opportunity they gave me.
