Being let go by a business in favor of outsourcing is not always considered a bad thing. Being outsourced might not be fun, but going to work at a temp agency at least allows you the chance to build a strong resume with many different resources and references.

Employers must be sure to check all references of temp employees since they are likely to enhance their skills and reputation. A few phone calls should make you feel good that you have hired the right temp as well as someone who may be qualified for a permanent position.

When the project is over, the employer is under no obligation to keep the temp on, but it is a good thing to keep the temp posted on how much time the project will take so that they might be able to look for something more permanent with benefits. If the project is very in depth and requires a lot of work, but is temporary, it is a good idea for the employer to go to a temp agency for help.

Using a temp agency allows an employer to sift through resumes looking for the perfect people that simply fit the needs of the project at hand. Once the project is over they go through the whole process again. It allows temp specialists that fit the exact needs of the company.
