Two sizes of standard stack paper cutters and three models of DAHLE stack paper cutters are available for the paper cutting needs of the professional world and the creative industry. They fit on any table surface and on a floor stand. All machines come with replaceable blades and safety guards. Machines operate manually.
Many times in the professional world and the creative industry, there is the need to cut paper material quickly and precisely. You don’t always have the time to spend cutting stacks of paper by hand, and you may not trust your hands to cut a straight line. Stack paper cutters or ream cutters solve all of these problems and more for you. The brands and models offered ensure heavy-duty construction and durability and are certain to give you a clean, straight cut every time with no remaining paper burrs.
Two sizes of standard stack paper cutters are available, a 17” stack paper cutter and an 18” stack paper cutter. The 17” model is an 87 lb, rectangular-shaped manual machine that is capable of cutting through stacks of 20 lb paper of 360 sheets at a time. It relies on a sturdy metal base that anchors it for stability while cutting, and comes with the option of attaching it to a floor stand or cabinet stand instead of using it on a table surface. The top face of the product shows pre-printed measuring guidelines so that all cuts are straight and come out the exact dimension you want them to. This stack cutter cuts paper up to 17” in length. The machine features a sharp blade that can be replaced as it dulls over time, and safety guards encompass this blade so that operation is executed without injury.
The 18” model shares nearly all of the same features as the 17” model but is slightly larger and capable of withstanding heavier duty conditions. This industrial-sized stack cutter weighs in at 264 lbs and ships via freight truck. It is also manual operation and cuts up to 800 sheets of 20 lb paper at a time. Pre-printed guidelines come on the machine, and it features a laser guide for more precise cutting. A wheel–driven mechanism clamps down paper stacks, and there is a hand crank for easy alignment. The 18” model is ideal for print shops, schools, and copy centers.
DAHLE offers three models of paper stack cutters with each model increasing in size and added features. Each of these machines is perfect for art departments, custom frame shops, and print and copy centers. They feature a German engineered, Guillotine-style cutting blade and function with manual operation. They fit on any table surface, but floor stands are the recommended option for optimal stack cutting due to ideal height and added leverage. Safety shields line both sides of the blade on each machine. The cutter will not operate unless these shields are down and engaged in the correct position.
The 842 stack paper cutter slices through 200 sheets at a time with its Solington steel blade. It cuts lengths up to 16 7/8” and is 28 x 23 1/4. The 846 stack paper cutter cuts 500 sheets at a time. It has a spindle driven, self-locking backstop for extreme accuracy and convenience during repetitive cuts. Its frame is 30 x 25 1/2. The largest 848 stack paper cutter severs 700 sheets of paper at once and will cut paper up to 18 1/2 long.
