Tempering state and solution treatmet state delivery

Tempering state High temperature heat treatment before delivery, such kind of condition is called tempering status. The temperature of such kind of delivery status is high, is conducive to completely eliminate internal stress and improve ductility and toughness of seamless steel pipe. Carbon structural steel, alloy steel, guaranteed harden-ability structural steel can all be delivered with high temperature tempering state. Some high strength martensitic stainless steel, high speed tool steel and high strength alloy steel, due to a high harden-ability and the strengthening role of alloying elements, can often carry out a high temperature tempering process after the quenching (or tempering), which can focus the steel carbides appropriately and obtain tempered sorbite organization with coarse carbide particles (similar to ball annealing organization), and thus, this delivery status steel has a good machinability.

Solution treatment state Solution treatment before delivery, such kind of condition is called solution treated condition. This state is mainly used in the processing of austenitic stainless steel before delivery. By solution treatment, it can get single-phase austenite, improve the toughness and plastic of seamless steel pipe, create conditions for further cold manufacturing(cold-rolled or cold-drawn), can also be well organized to prepare for further precipitation hardening.
