Logistics managers, freight forwarders and operators making a living from owner driver jobs will come together for the 2017 Commercial Fleet Awards.
In November of this year, heavyweights of the transport and delivery industry will come together at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel for the glittering black-tie gala event – the Commercial Fleet Awards. The awards not only recognise the integral role the industry plays in keeping the British national economy on the move, it's also a very valuable networking opportunity for anyone working in the many related sectors of this wide-ranging industry.
Bigger and Better than 2016
The 2016 edition of the event drew more than 600 attendees and this year's is expected to exceed those numbers. The awards attract the best of the commercial fleet industry from sectors including leasing and rentals, SMR, telematics, remarketing, fleet management and van and truck manufacturers and operators.
Recognition of Excellence in Industry Standards
For logistics managers, freight forwarders and self-employed operators making a living from owner driver jobs, the Commercial Fleet Awards offer an opportunity to celebrate the industry leaders' commitment to innovation, operation and exemplary safety standards. Across a number of categories, operators, manufacturers and suppliers are rewarded for their products, services and innovation to business.
Categories
The award categories are divided into Fleet, Supplier, Manufacturer and Headline, each with a number of sub-categories covering various aspects of safety, utilities, business, environment, operation, initiative and innovation.
For those who have owner driver jobs, one of the most closely watched categories is that recognising the vehicle manufacturers. Comparing excellence in aspects like fuel efficiency, running costs, reliability, after sales service, technology and payload, awards are given for Small Van of the Year, Medium Panel Van of the Year and Large Panel van of the Year. There is also a Headline Award for the overall Van of the Year.
A Prestigious Industry Event
The Commercial Fleet Awards are recognised as an important and vital addition to the annual events calendar and organisers are encouraging anyone from the industry's related sectors to attend. Smaller operators who make a living from owner driver jobs often report feeling isolated from the rest of their industry, so events like this are the perfect opportunity to meet their peers and make important social and professional connections.
