Types of Water Damages

Water damages can be categorized into three types, clean, gray, and black water. Clean water refers to the water that does not pose any threat to human beings. The second category refers to the type that contains contaminants which when consumed or worked on causes discomfort or ill effects on your health. Black water refers to sewage, sea water, and contaminated standing water. It's the worst among other categories, containing bacteria ,fungi, and other agents that should only be dealt by professionals who have the resources to handle them. If gray water is allowed stand for more than forty eight hours, it too will fall into the third category.

Due to the destructive capacity of water, restoration processes depend on the area that has been affected on account of the damages. And, this results in the wall paper or walls becoming damp. In due course of time, the wallpaper or the paint will have to be replaced as a result of chipping, which resulted from excess moisture accumulated on them. This can become a costly affair if it has to be done frequently. Wooden flooring and carpets should be dried properly so that they do not become a haven for mold, mildew, and other bacterial growths.
