The art of balancing the body, mind and intellect is very important for corporate employees otherwise......
Swami Sukhabodhananda in his series of lectures on Bhagavath Gita, asked the participants whether they are integrated and integrating their ‘body, ‘emotion (mind)’ and ‘intellect’?
If you fail to do so or fail to understand it, you will be creating chaos and hell of your life. Decision making process and seeing the reality in an impartial way will get affected if one fail to integrate these three important domains and such learning is very important especially to the corporate people.
It is a general feeling that people love to show or advertise themselves as firm decision makers in the organization. The corporate dynamism also demand such decision making leaders as delay in taking the right decision at the right time means, no decision taken, no effort is made and have caused heavy loss to the organization.
The real truth behind the bold advertisement of someone’s firmness in making decisions is only the reflection of his/her ‘indecisiveness’. Only to cover up their cowardice and indecisiveness, people try to show that they are very good at taking decisions.
Another aspect of lack of co-ordination between ‘body’, ‘mind’ and ‘intellect’ also can be seen by the style of description of the reality by people. People should know the fact that description is not the described. Corporate employees naturally romanticize the descriptions without knowing the fact that ‘what is understood is not actually is’.
In animal world, the intellect and emotion is seen to support the body and that is why they are very strong and powerful. This philosophy is true for both predator and prey. Because of the perfect integration only, they also live in inner peace in a far better way than human being.
In humans, interestingly, all the three important wheels move independently and also to different directions. Besides that, each one will tend to dominate the other and thereby they create conflicts and fights among each other.
There are many occasions, people beat and hurt themselves, harm their body & mind and even do self immolation or suicide. When the dominance of emotion peaks, naturally the body and intellect surrenders. The worst sufferer in all such cases is the body. The intellect seldom dares to question the emotion and emotion always uses ‘its own intellect’ to convince and win the support of the real intellect.
The very birth of jealous itself is more due to the wrong equation between the mind, emotion and intellect. One should learn to participate in the joy and happiness of others and make positive contributions to sorrow and sufferings of others. Unfortunately, they feel jealous & suffer when others are happy and happy when others suffer.
People in the industry must understand the fact that such integration is must for keeping their youth and energy at least to enjoy the money they earn.
