Why you need a Gramos Peelable Paint Booth Coating

Keeping your spray booth clean can be a nightmare and a time consuming task. Most paint shops will just scrape off overspray when it becomes a problem. A better way is to use a peelable paint booth coating.

What is a peelable spray booth coating?

A peelable spray booth coating is a liquid spray-on treatment that forms a protective film. Apply it to clean booth walls and floors it can be applied using a spray gun or even brush and roller if you have the time. After drying which can be anywhere from 2-3 hours,Why Do You Need a Gramos Peelable Paint Booth Coating? Articles you can retunr to your booth and re-commence painting.

Even when paint builds up, you can continue to spray in your booth just by adding another layer or film of peelable booth coating, after about the 10th time of applying peelable peel the film off and start again.

Use the system in conjunction with clear peelable film or self-adhering film to protect booth windows and lights.

Why use peelable booth coatings? 1.it lasts a long time

There are quite a few systems like this on the market but peelable systems do take quite a hammering before they give in! Most Gramos peelable systems will take wheeled traffic and even forklifts in a busy paint shop without too much trouble.

2.Save on labour

Cleaning walls by hand is time consuming so by not applying a peelable coating you may think you are saving time but in actual fact in the long run...you're just slowing down production. It's easier to pick up your spray gun, apply the peelable and then take it back off after 10 full applications

3. Peelable WILL improve visibility

Peelable coatings are generally white so having that nice backdrop to paint against will make your project easier for visibility and let you have a proper gauge against whatever the colour of your job is

4.In a brave new world bacteria is a hot topic

It's best practice to do a routine deep clean in paint shops and warehouses way before COVID ever became a word we needed to know! However as paint shops tend to be areas with managed air (honeywell masks feeding air ) or a place where you will inevitably spend many hours in an enclosed space having a deep clean protocol into your maintenance schedule helps keep your booth in top condition.

With peelable coating systems, its much easier to clean a full spray booth, paint shop or clean room down (don't forget you can even use peelable coatings on your paint kitchen)

5.Paint finish will look better

Overspray builds up and causes paint dust which then, becomes airborne and contaminates your paint job.

Peelable out of your price range ?

If peelable is out of your price range there are alternatives and some aren't too bad... tacky protective coating . This is a non-drying(ie: it remains tack or tacky so it never officially dries hard). This effective tacky formula attracts paint particles and dust to its sticky nature and its cheaper in general than a peelable coating which will dry to a more solid wax like coating. The dowside...tacky coating will need to be washed off with water (preferably clean water) . This makes the deep clean and general maintenance part of the product a little longer but if you have a trainee to put through the motions with time on his hands - it may keep him / her off Facebook and on the job for a few hours.

Tacky is actually a good product but if you have slightly more cash to spend.. go for the peelable as high production paint shops / spray booths cannot afford to have downtime for the sake of 50 per 5 ltrs.
