The corporate should know the origin of some unique behaviour of employees are more to do with.....

Any one of us can list easily how different the African elephant is from an Indian elephant.  With some precision,You are determining your employees behaviour Articles even the reason for such differences among the elephants of Africa and India also can be told.  This is possible because the differences are obvious.  Are we also seeing the consequences of such differences or how the life of elephants would have been either in Africa or India, if such differences had not occurred in them?

The behaviour, morphology and reproductive ecology of all animals are defined, determined and modified by the respective ecosystem.  All the differences that are seen in African elephant are necessary for its successful existence in the Africa forest hence such changes had occurred.  Whereas such changes are not required for Indian elephants, hence has not happened.

The management message the corporate bosses should know is that only the prevailing culture of the organization alone modify the working culture and behaviour of the employees.  When the boss blames the subordinate, he or she should necessarily know whether such working style of the subordinate reflects the culture of the organization as its source.

The compelling question is that whether such changes, be it in elephant or corporate employees, are permanent.   The answer is that as long as they have to live or are living in the same ecosystem; such changes are necessary or do live with them.   Remember, all the changes in us occur based on ‘stimuli and response’ pattern.  No response is possible without stimuli and vice versa.  In many instances, we know the response but not the stimuli.  In some cases, the stimuli are known but not the response.

If we shift an African elephant to an Asian forest, it may resist the new ecosystem, food etc., in the beginning.   Only after starving for some period it would start accepting the above.   Human behaviour also functions the same way.   The behaviour of an employee in a MNC’s will be different from the behaviour of an employee in a single man driven corporate.   Reason for such behavioural uniqueness has more to do with the culture of the respective organizations than to do with the individual.  Such uniqueness is inevitable only then they can successfully survive in such ecosystem.

Many bosses do say how people in other organizations are creative and why our people are not so.  Such bosses should trace and excavate the reason for the lack of creativity of its employees from the culture of the organization.

If they assume that an employee from such organizations is hired, creativity and enhanced performance/productivity would flow.   It is a myth.  Unless the existing culture is understood or corrected, none can add any value.

Even the best seed of a crop can give yield only if it is sowed in the processed field.  It is not just the ‘best’ will give you the best, but knowing and facilitating the best alone will give you the ’best’.
