Sony's Xperia X10 Joins T-Mobile - Latest Sony Ericsson Xperia Phone
The new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has now joined the T-Mobile network, this high specification Android phone incorporates an industry leading 1GHz processor alongside an 8 mega pixel camera.
The first ever Android phone from Sony Ericsson has now been released,
the Sony Ericsson X10 which is part of the manufacturers Xperia range has now been launched by the T-Mobile network.First announced over 12 months ago this latest Android phone was supposed to be released some time ago, there have been fears that due to its delayed launch it would fall behind in terms of technology as the other manufacturers rolled out new models with competing features. This is the case with some of the more recent handsets including the Google Nexus One phone and HTC Desire both of which utilise the same 1GHz processor, however the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 does have a couple of things not found in competing devices which set it apart from the ever expanding Android range of phones. These include the highest specification camera available in an Android mobile phone, the Sony X10 offers an 8.1 mega pixel camera with a whole host of features which the manufacturer is known for with its Cyber-Shot range of imaging handsets. Another new addition is Sony Ericsson's new Timescape, this is a features which acts similarly to Friendstream from HTC on their HTC Desire and MOTOBlur found on the new Motorola Backflip phone.Timescape bunches together social networking updates from Facebook, Twitter and others alongside text messages and emails to keep the user fully informed of what their friends are up to in one continuous stream of information.Competition against the new Sony Xperia X10 not only comes from the powerful HTC Desire and Nexus One handsets but also the Motorola Milestone which offers the same 5.0 mega pixel camera but also manages to incorporate a full slide out Qwerty keyboard for those that like to press physical buttons when entering text. There are also budget Android offerings for those not able to shell out the larger price tag of this latest Sony Ericsson phone, the Samsung Galaxy Portal which is also known as the Galaxy Spica offers a good sized touch screen display with a slightly less camera resolution to keep the price tag down and LG will be launching their LG GT540 very soon which drops the price even more.Although T-Mobile are the first network to pick up the Xperia X10 others have now confirmed that they also will be carrying this new device, this new Android phone will also be made available as a SIM Free handset towards the end of the month as well as being offered on the Pay As You Go scheme for those that cannot pass the network credit checks for gaining a contract phone.Sony Ericsson have also added to their non Android phone line-up by releasing their HD supporting Sony Ericsson Vivaz collection, these new phones come in red, silver and black colour schemes and all support 720p HD video recording which can be played back on TV sets.
