Samsung have followed up the hugely popular Galaxy S handset with the new Galaxy S2,The Great S2 From Samsung - Top Performance In A Slimline Handset Articles a model sporting improvements in most areas, thus making it destined to be as popular as its predecessor.
When looking at the Galaxy S2 for the first time, the most striking aspect of this model is its incredible slimness.  At just 9mm in depth, the phone is the slimmest currently available, and it is hard to envisage them getting any smaller because of the physical space that ports such as the 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB require.  In terms of screen size, the unit offers as large a screen as you would expect to find on a mobile phone at 4.3".  Whereas the Galaxy S excelled thanks to its use of Super AMOLED technology, this new model takes the system a step further by introducing Super AMOLED +, boasting the same high quality as before but with improved contrast ratios which result in a better range of colours as well as improving battery life thanks to advances in the screens power management.  Being an Android handset, users have the familiar multiple home screen layout and a huge range of downloads already available, this new model however does run on the 2.3 version which to date is available on very few handsets thanks to its recent release date.
In use, the Samsung Galaxy S2 performs at great speed.  With a 1.2Ghz processor on board, the phone sports one of the fastest mobile chips currently available.  Not content with just boasting this high capacity, the chip is also dual core, meaning all areas of performance benefit.  Anybody looking to make the most of the phones in built multi media facilities will appreciate the 16GB of internal storage capacity that is on offer, and if you do find yourself needing more, the micro SD card slot allows for expansion by up to a further 32GB.  These features include a still camera that at 8 million pixels is above the average smartphone offering, and video footage in the highest HD quality available which is 1080P resolution.  Web connectivity includes both WiFi and 3G, meaning you can be assured of a great connection regardless of your location.
Samsung seem to have pulled out all of the stops with the Galaxy S2, resulting in a phone that not only looks superb, but one that is brimming with the very best technology available.
