Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero Versus Cake Shop 3

These two games are brightly colored and if come to think of it the cartoonish style is the best and rather attractive decision for time management games.

It was fascinating to play both games.

The main characters are girls. In Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero you will meet Anna again and Emily will to keep you company in Cake Shop 3. Each game has its own story line. While Emily is making delicious desserts for clients all around the world and getting on in the cooking business in different countries, Anna is tackling a difficulty in her home town. She is back to fight against Dr. Bane. He is the villains of the piece in Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero.

Your activity in these games will, basically, include serving customers, buying new ingredients or equipments,  improving your skills or  redesigning your restaurant and earning money.

Nefarious Dr. Bane has conquered the market of desserts in the town with his totally chemicals-based produce. Anna is willing to kick him out by making her market share bigger and bigger. This is achievable by making and selling all natural desserts, all natural ice cream.

This is the premise of Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero and Cake Shop 3, the games that are very similar in many ways, albeit with some interesting twists in each of them.

In Natural Hero you make only ice-cream of different colors and in Cake Shop 3 you start with making delicious desserts and then you'll be able to serve customers other local delights. As for the process of serving itself the Cake Shop's variant is more convenient and interesting for me, not because of the diversity and the abundance of stuff.

In Cake Shop 3  I might choose any item I need no matter where it lies on the food line, in spite of Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero where I can take only the first product in the line. And sometimes I just have to trash it as I can't get the proper one.

In Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero you will be given a set of goals that you need to complete before the story moves forward. The whole town is available for achieving your goal. Each day you will be able to purchase three ingredients. New fresh food will increase your market share and steal the customers from Dr. Bane. You can also find food items,when you are selling ice cream. Each location has 7 of them hidden in it. So, your task is to find them in order to reach the best results and to max out that ingredient as well. 

The customers are different in every location- that is time manager genre's way. You will have to consider the differences to work fast and still get good tips. The same situation with customers is in Cake shop 3 – some of them are patient, some of them are not. But as opposed to Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero some customers in Cake shop 3 prefer to eat in a cafe than to take food away that's why you have to grab them, let them sit at the table and give them a menu. And it take time by the way.

The challenge is that in both games customers come simultaneously and each of them order you more than one dish. In Cake shop 3  in order to be successful in serving customers you can use bonuses. You earn them one by one by having served a definite amount of customers. Bonuses are laying on the food line as well as all ingredients and they enable you to freeze the time for 5 or more seconds, replace any order, keep your customers more patient and accelerate your machines. Just choose an appropriate one and get more tips. I would like to point out one more convenience for you. Use the right mouse button and the order will be given to customer according to his or her query.  In Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero you could upgrade your machines to be faster. But to do it you have to serve a specific number of customers before your energy runs out.

You don't buy ingredients for your store in Cake shop 3 unlike another game. But in Cake shop 3 you have a chance to test yourself not only as a cafe keeper but also as a designer and a decorator of your cafe. After some renovation  the level of your cafe, which is measured in stars, goes up. Only having enough stars you are welcome to purchase new fitting for your cafe like black coffee, ice-cream or strawberry cream machines, pizza oven, square baking cup and so on. All those updates attract more customers and let you earn more money and get good tips.

The more money you have earned during the time-management levels the more functional items you can purchase.

You can choose between purchasing or upgrading one of your skills or your equipment  in  Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero and  in Cake shop 3 you earn money, upgrade your restaurant for getting star and after that you are allowed to buy new equipments.

To sum up Cake Shops 3 is a fast-paced Time Management game where you should think two steps ahead and have no time just to sit on your hands. In Cake Shops 3 you are traveling round the world and your cafe looks different in each countries. In  Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero you are traveling around the town so your store always looks the same. And hold your breath to do the same tasks over and over  in two games. This can make the games seem monotonous after a while. But in Ice Cream Craze: Natural Hero you have Dr. Bane, who will attack and you will have to fight him off by throwing his disgusting artificial ice cream at him. And that confrontation with him will amuse you and add variety in the process of selling ice-cream.

With regards to advantages of Cake Shops 3 there are lot of them. Traveling round the world, opening up new Cake Shops, upgrading your restaurants, learning the tastes of your demanding customers, discovering a big variety of new recipes for yourself, and gorgeous graphics will certainly charm you.
