If you are franchisor and running franchisees network then you might like the idea to grant your franchisee sales reps access to their orders but restrict them from seeing what is going on with another franchisee.  Similar requirements could be attributed to dealerships,SAP Business One Sales Order Batch Style Negotiation via Web Interface Articles grocery or oriental foods stores chain with central management and independent ownership on the level of the outlets.  So we are talking here about intranet and extranet.  As you might be aware Business One posts the document all the way through the General Ledger and this is why negotiation cycle is a bit complicated in direct user interface.  Plus if your sales folks are only doing Sales Order negotiation and approval then there is no need to purchase full named user licenses for them.  The product that we would like to describe is WebViews and it is available from M2-D2.  Let’s take a look at details:

1. Inquiries.  User have access based on the security level to business partner related information as well as to Inventory items and quantities and plus to Sales Orders associated with visible business partners customers with restriction to where the WV user is Salesperson in SAP B1.  There are inquires to historical sales orders in SAP BO allowing you to create new Sales Order hosted in WebViews respecting historical order prices

2. Sales Orders in negotiation phase.  These are stored in the MS SQL Server database different that SAP B1 company DB.  And this is the key in enabling batch processing or in other words keeping orders open and not committed to Business One.  When you are done with sales job and order is approved by the customer then you send it to SAP B1 where it is automatically and immediately posted.  Please note that your B2B partners could keep as many Sales Orders open as required in their sales cycles

3. Let’s take some questions.  Q.  Are WebViews open to various browsers or they are only working with Internet Explorer?  A.  It is PHP application and this is why it works with pretty much all the browsers including Explorer, Chrome, Mozilla and even Android, IPad and IPhone with the comments that on IPhone and Android screens it might be too tiny and difficult to navigate.  Q.  Could WebView server be hosted in Linux?  A.  Yes it could and here you are saving on operating system software licenses.  At the same time there is no problem to install PHP on Windows server including SAP B1 SQL or Application server.  Are WebViews are available internationally?  Yes at this time in the United States and English speaking countries as well as in Brazilian Portuguese

4. Are WebViews ready to be customized directly by the vendor and by our IT and development teams?  Such modifications as color schema, logos and pictures are ready for in-house replacement and change.  If you are looking for business logic customization then it is available from ISV partner.  In fact M2-D2 is recommending the package where at least forty hours are reserve for coding

5. Are there any user number restrictions associated with possible performance degradation?  As far as we were able to test the product four hundred users seems to be OK without any sign of performance decline.  Please, note that the product is calling DI API and all the documents are fully validated before being entered and committed in SAP Business One
