If you were to explain to somebody what the adventure/hidden object games are, you could easiy use Voodoo Whisperer: Curse of a Legend Collector's Edition. The really shows it all - lots of wandering around, interacting with items and people, challenging puzzles, and hidden object searches.
She tells you that the evil powers have captured many souls in town and it is you who can help them.
The game begins with you being at a voodoo session, or maybe you are there for a different reason, but you are sitting at the table with a voodoo lady and she is possessed by a demon. You are a young girl scared to death.
She tells you that the evil powers have captured many souls in town and it is you who can help them. You are scared, without any clue how to do that, but also willing to accept the challenge. After that you are doomed to walk to different locations searching for items to help you complete the general task.
As you do that, you will come across different challenges that will cause you go further or back to find something helpful or you will have to ineract with different characters, some dead, some alive. Your adventure will be directed by some amaller tasks that you get along the way.
The hidden object levels are a big part of the game. You get to play them in a clasic way, searching through a clattered scene for the items given on a list. There are different kinds of help in there. One is the average hint, then there are also other helpers that get unlocked as you play.
A magnifying glass is always available for you in those levels. One of the features that I really liked in there was the penalty for the random clicking. The screen becomes covered with the spider web. That looks pretty awesome and unusual.
In general the game looks and sounds very good. The graphics are detailed and well drawn. And the dialogues are voiced. The game is rather spooky with all the atmosphere and events of the story.
