1472 is the date of birth of the banking group Monte dei Paschi di Siena and the label launched in October 2010 of the wines of MPS, agricultural companies of group Monte dei Paschi di Siena engaged in a strategic operation of brand extension.
An operation that is unprecedented in the banking sector and that stems by the link between the bank and the agro-food system that has always characterized the Sienese territory. The pastures were pastures form whose rent the Mount drew the money that employed in the credit system .

The labels of the range are three:
Toscana IGT: wine with a strong identity, and full-bodied and smooth taste with sense of pink fruit, mushroom, tobacco, pepper and chocolate
Chianti DOCG: fruity wine with purple hues
1472 Red: a Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva 2006 ruby-colored, scent of ripe fruit, cinnamon, cloves and austere and decided taste.
