Two time winner of CSR “Top Institute of India” Award, IIM Rohtak is a public business school which was established in 2009 in Rohtak, Haryana. It is one of the six new IIMs established under the 11th Five Year Plan. Campus: The institute is currently functioning at the Maharishi Dayananda University Rohtak campus. But its 200 acre sprawling campus is being constructed at Sunaria near Rohtak City. The institute has spacious classrooms located in air conditioned humanities block. The institute also provides hostel facilities to the students with all the basic amenities like mess and comfortable rooms. It also has well stocked library with a large variety of books and study material, state-of-the-art auditorium, modern video conferencing room, technologically advanced computer lab and IT resource centre, cafeteria which provides tasty and nutritious meal to the students and many other facilities. Courses offered: The institute offers a variety of professional level MBA related courses to choose from. It offers courses like Post Graduate Programme in Management, Executive Education Programme, Management Development Programme, Faculty Development Programme and Fellow Programme in Management. Admission: Much like any other IIMs, a student has to be brilliant to get admitted to IIM Rohtak. The college carefully screens the students who apply for the various courses. The college makes sure that it only selects the brightest minds of the country and transforms them into managerial leaders. It is a pre- requisite for the candidates to give CAT examination in order to apply for any of the courses. But the candidates are not selected solely on the basis of CAT; they also have to go through personal interview and written test rounds in order to finally be a part of the college. Work experience and past academic performance is also analyzed during the admission process.
