Like in IIT-JEE and CBSE medical examinations, Bokaro students have proved their mettle in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), too, this year.
The city students have grabbed the first to sixth ranks in the state top 10 list.

Among the toppers in Jharkhand, the first, fourth and the ninth ranks are obtained by DPS students while the third and the fifth positions are bagged by Chinmaya Vidyalaya students. The second topper belongs to MGM Higher Secondary and sixth rank is held by a student of Bokaro Ispat Senior Secondary School (BISSS).

However, all the toppers, including the state first rank holder, have cracked the IIT-JEE this year and have mentally prepared to take up engineering in IIT rather than going in colleges coming under AIEEE. But they are happy with their performance in the AIEEE.
Aditya Kumar Akash, the DPS student, has brought pride to the city by topping the state list and All India Rank (AIR)-50 in AIEEE. He has also performed exemplarily in the IIT-JEE ranking 38, which is the highest in the state.
The state's second rank holder Ashutosh, who has obtained AIR 75 in AIEEE, has ranked 123 in national level in the IIT-JEE. "I have decided to take up admission in IIT Delhi or Kanpur. Anyway, I am happy scoring second rank in the state in AIEEE," he said.
Manohar Kumar, the student of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, is one who grabbed third position in the state toppers list and scored AIR 78 in the AIEEE. He also cracked IIT-JEE with AIR 184. Another student of his school Saurav Kumar achieved the state rank 5 and AIR 97. "I am glad to see myself in third position in the state in the AIEEE," said Manohar.
Two other DPS students also did well in the AIEEE. Utpal has ranked fourth and Ritvik Srivastava has brought ninth rank in the state. Utpal who has scored AIR 699 and Srivastava 309 rank in the IIT-JEE have planned to take admission in IIT. Nishant Kumar Sunny, a student of BISSS, has passed the AIEEE with the state rank 9 and AIR 98. His teachers have praised his performance.
