Q1. Would CMAT be conducted twice a year?
Beginning from academic year from 2018-19, CMAT would be conducted only once a year in the month of January. The CMAT 2018 would be conducted in the month of January.
Q2. How different is the online format different from that of offline format?
The test format is similar in both the cases but differs in terms of the approach that a candidate might use – either clicking on the right option or using a pencil to darken the ovals on an answer sheet. It also depends on the comfort of the candidate to choose a particular mode.
Q3. Can the test be taken from any computer?
No, it can be taken only on a work station that is assigned in advance and the candidate would not be allowed to be given a choice in terms of the workstation.
Q4. How many sections are there in the CMAT Exam?
There would be four sections in the test. The sections are detailed as follows:
Logical Reasoning Section, Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability and General Awareness section.
Q5. What is the duration of CMAT examination?
The duration of the CMAT examination would be for 3 hours.
Q6. Is there negative marking in the CMAT Exam?
Every incorrect answer would be carrying a penalty of 1 mark.
Q7. Does appearing for CMAT have any age limit?
There is no any restriction on the age limit for appearing in the CMAT Examination.
Q8. When is the time of holding CMAT and test center choosing option?
CMAT in India is usually held in the month of January 2018. Up to 3 cities in the country in the order of the preference can be selected. The first city would be given a maximum amount of preference. Actual availability would depend on the availability of the relevant slot.
Q9. What details would CMAT Admit card contain?
The CMAT Admit card would contain details such as photograph, name and signature of the examinee, Roll Number, Date and Time apart from the reporting time at the venue. CMAT Admit card is a mandatory document that must be carried by the candidate to the examination hall.
Q10. How soon is the candidate required to reach the CMAT Examination venue?
If the test begins at 9.30 am, the candidate must reach the test center at least 1.5 hours prior to the scheduled examination timing.
Q.11 Can the candidate see the scores on the date of the CMAT Examination?
No, the candidate would not be able to see the scores on the day of the CMAT examination.
Q.12 Can a candidate make changes to his postal address once the application form is submitted?
Once a candidate submits his CMAT Registration form, there is no way that any information change can be made across.
Q.13 Is CMAT considerable for admissions to Part time MBA courses?
CMAT score would be considered for admissions to all AICTE approved part time MBA courses.
