Based on a tip-off, crime branch officials caught a 17-year-old engineering student near Iskcon circle on SG Highway.
The youth was a part of a three-member gang involved in a failed attempt to break an ATM of State Bank of India on Rajkot Gondal highway a few weeks back.

Pravin (name changed) was caught on Tuesday while he was sitting in an autorickshaw near the circle. Since he is a minor, he was handed over to his parents after primary investigation.
Engineering Graduation
Investigation revealed that both Pravin and Naresh study in a Rajkot-based engineering college. They came in contact with one Vijay Chavda, a former student of the college. The trio hatched a plan to steal money from the ATM near a tea stall close to their college. Police also learned that the trio had stolen three bikes before they attempted to break the ATM.
Based on the CCTV footage, Rajkot police began searching for kingpin Chavda. They arrested Naresh a few days back. Ahmedabad city crime branch informed Rajkot police after nabbing Pravin.
