Delhi has many centers that provide SSC CGL coaching. However,How NOT to prepare for SSC CGL 2016 Articles it is always better to avoid unnecessary pressure before any examination and here is the list of don’t’s to prepare for SSC CGL (Combined Level Graduation) 2016.

Lack of Sleep

The first thing that is to be avoided is the sleepless night. If cracking an exam by remaining awaked all through the night is possible then everyone would rather follow it than study. A proper sleep will actually help prepare better.

Referring many books at a time

Referring too many books like 5 books for GK, 10 books for Quantitative reasoning, downloading 20 applications for enhancing Vocabulary and General Awareness, etc will lead you nowhere. Consulting the course material of the institute if any or by just choosing one or two books on each topic and quite a less number of applications online is enough to crack the CGL exam.

Giving preference to a particular topic

It is very wrong to work only on a particular topic which you think is more important. But in the CGL exam every topic holds equal relevance and weightage.

Less importance to practice test papers

Solving one or two test papers will never help you get the confidence of finishing your test at the exam hall on time. Not setting the proper time, not solving the paper as per the actual exam pattern will be of no use. Solving papers without filling the bubbles is absolutely wrong. Marking the answer at the bubble sheet one after another is the right way to finish the test rather than filling all at once at the end. This will reduce the possibility of mistakes.

Devoting too much time on one topic

If you invest too much time on a particular section then completing the exam will not be possible. Therefore proper practice and proper allocation of time is very important.

Studying till the last hour

This is a big no. The last hour touch ups will never fetch you good marks. The learning that your mind has captured will be a road to your success.

Trying other modes of preparation/Avoiding knowledge centers

Trying to use short cuts or tricks to use during the exam will actually not help. Preparing thoroughly is ideally important. Avoiding reading newspapers, articles and journals which are a great source of knowledge should not happen.

Worrying about the result

Preparation is more important rather than result. If you continue to think about the number of seats, the job vacancies etc., the capacity to prepare well will go low. Priority should be a good and healthy preparation which will automatically fetch good result.
