While, security concerns in day care schools Articles centres are responsible for setting up security measures in their schools, parents are encouraged to keep a tab on the security drills and activities happening as a part of the curriculum.

However, licensing rules don’t require a centre to inevitably have a security system. Every city, and every school for that matter has a different set of norms of which a security system may not necessarily be a part. But the licensing rules do require every school to have emergency plans to evacuate children in case of a fire. Also, they require is well-acquainted with a thorough record of every student- his name and his whereabouts being the most basic of all.

Here are a few questions that the various international schools in Noida have always encouraged parents to put up before zeroing out on it.

-How does the centre prevent unauthorized people to enter the school premises?

-How does the centre ensure that the child wouldn’t be handed to some unauthorized person for the pickup?

-How does the centre let the parents know about their children's health and well-being in case of an emergency?

-How does the centre address emergency situations like fire, earthquake, tornados, and medical messes?

If your day care centre can’t satisfyingly address these questions, you are probably going off the rocker.

Listed below are a few variants of security systems that you may find in a day care centre.

Mechanical or electronic restricted system: The type of system prevents unauthorized access to the premises. All the doors leading to indoors are locked up, and it takes a password to get through it. The system may be as simple as a door bell, or as complicated as a security system that requires a set of keys and buttons to be meddled with to be able to get through.

Bell or alert device system: The main entrance to the building is unlocked, but every time a new entrant comes over, the buzzer goes off. Access to the building is not tightly controlled, but at least it is known when or when not a person has entered the premises.
