Artistic Beauty Colleges welcomes its students with "an invitation to opportunity." Students searching for in-depth training and education in the fields of cosmetology, nail technology or becoming an aesthetician will find that Artistic Beauty Colleges offers its educational programs in 15 locations throughout Arizona and Colorado. What sets Artistic Beauty Colleges apart from other schools, says Mr. Frederick L. Pressel, regional director of Regis Corporation and Artistic Beauty Colleges, is the Regis affiliation. "Because of the Regis brand recognition, students can go almost anywhere in the US. Regis is really the high end of the cosmetology field of the industry. Putting Regis on your resume will give you the leg up in getting employed."
Offering the incentive to begin a journey toward a career in beauty and wellness, Artistic Beauty Colleges, a Title IV school, assists applicants residing in both Arizona and Colorado in achieving academic and career training goals. Among the educational perks are its extension of various financial aid programs, including the Federal Pell Grant, federal student loans, and a variety of additional financial payment options suited to fit individual needs. Students enrolled in the cosmetology program at Artistic Beauty Colleges will participate in curriculum involving nail technology, skin care, make-up, and theories and applications of advanced hair techniques. Depending on state of residence, students will acquire 1,600 training hours in Arizona, and 60 credit hours in Colorado. For students who are interested in esthetics, Artistic Beauty Colleges offers a 600-hour esthetician course in Arizona and a 20-credit hour esthetician course in Colorado that teaches students how to perform client consultations; about skin care science; how administer body wraps, European facials, microderm abrasion and make-up; hair removal techniques (facial wax and body wax); and knowledge about related products of the field. In its nail technology program, participants learn how to administer manicures and pedicures and apply artificial nails and creative nail art. As an added incentive, part-time classes are offered at various campus locations* (check individual campus for availability). Upon successful completion of courses, students are awarded a diploma and certificate of completion. Furthermore, all programs meet educational requirements for licensure. In addition to classroom training, students enrolled at Artistic Beauty Colleges receive a wealth of hands-on training in their on-campus salons, where they can gain practical experience under the supervision of licensed instructors. By having smaller campuses, "the goal is to really give the students a unique training experience," says Pressel. "In addition, every school has a reference library that includes Regis’ line of training DVDs to further enhance student education."
Licensed by the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology and approved by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Division of Private Occupational Schools, Artistic Beauty Colleges are also accredited by the NACCAS (National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences).
