While most of the city is enjoying summer vacations,Top Engineering Colleges in Mumbai Articles there is no break for students who hav e Grade 12. Aspirants for streams such as Engineering, Medical, Management and Dental are going through pages of their preparatory material to do well in the exam. The exam aspirants are waiting for their results.

The syllabus across various exams are different which is making preparation a little stressful for students as such. Higher education aspirants after completing Grade 12, to bag seats in IITs, are focusing on the state curriculum to do well in their Boards and then studying NCERT Syllabus to do well in the National level exams.

The State Government is required to upgrade its syllabus to ensure students graduating from State Board are able to be competent enough to fulfil the preparatory requirements of entrance exams like NEET.

Another reference to the JEE Main results has indicated that not a single student from Mumbai has managed to secure top 100 ranks, as there are a lot of differences between the JEE Main preparatory syllabus and their school course curriculum. It is also observed that the difference between NCERT syllabus and the State Board curriculum is not beyond 20-30%.

Further to this, the AICTE Board has planned on introducing a NEET like exam all over India for enabling admission to all engineering institutes. The AICTE has also further reduced about 50+ polytechnic courses and the number of seats in about 150 courses in the polytechnic stream. About 7,000 seats are unavailable for students with the effect of this step.

The reason for undertaking this extreme step has been the rising number of polytechnic courses that are being offered and reduced demand for this course. Out of 1.6 lakh available seats, only 75,000 are filled rendering about 55% vacant. This percentage has increased from approximately 45% as per last year statistics.

Apart from this, there has also been a decline in the number of job opportunities for various students who have completed their diploma in engineering courses like polytechnic. As much as graduates from Top engineering colleges in Mumbai are able to get placed on graduation, diploma course degree holders in the same specializations are not able to find suitable job opportunities.
