Aerosmith, the legendary rock band, is gearing up for their "Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock" tour, set to electrify fans across 18 U.S. cities. However, internal conflicts and drug use began to take their toll. Joe Perry left the band, followed by Brad Whitford in early 1980. Steven Tyler, Hamilton, and Kramer continued with new guitarists Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay.

In 1984, contact was re-established with Perry and Whitford, leading to a period of rehabilitation for the band members.
