How To Create an Adult Jungle Themed Bedroom

Creating an adult jungle themed bedroom can be risky but fun. A jungle themed bedroom does not have to look cheesy or childish. With the right bedding and decor anyone can create a beautiful and exotic jungle themed bedroom in no time.

Let us first start with the bed which will be the main focal point. Choose either animal print or a solid color duvet set. If you have chosen animal print for the bedding, then we must make the rest of the decor simple. Just the bed alone will make a bold statement and we do not want to go crazy with the animal print. Many of us make the big mistake of adding too much of the print and it makes the room look tacky and cheap. Add a couple of solid color pillowcases with this type of bedding and a small area rug next to the bed that coordinates well with the color of the pillows.

If you decide to go solid for the bedding, choose a solid black duvet set or a dark brown duvet cover set. Next, add a couple of animal print decorative pillows. Mix the animal print pillows with solid color pillows as well. The pillows should match with the bedding color. Last, add a small area rug with the same print as the pillows to complete the solid bedding jungle look.

After we have decided on the bedding we can move on with the rest of the decor. The decor should resemble the jungle. Add a couple of indoor plants to the room. 2 or 3 plants will be fine. Animal figurines and vases are fine as well. Gold pieces such as gold vases will coordinate best with the leopard or tiger bedding.

Finally for the window treatments, a bamboo rod with a solid color valance or curtain that coordinate with the color of the bedding would look great. Stay away from animal print for the window treatments. The bedding and area rug already have that covered.
