It was a cloudy Sunday afternoon, and Jane was doing her families laundry, as she normally does on a Sunday; while her husband was out grocery shopping with her sons. She grabbed a pair of her husband’s jeans and turned them inside out in preparation of putting them in the washing machine. When she did this, to her surprise, a piece of white paper folded up fell out of the pocket.
Thinking this was a simple reminder note, she opened it to see what it said before she threw it in the garbage. What she actually found was a phone number, but it was not written in her husband’s hand writing. Immediately her stomach sank, her heart started pounding and her hands started to shake. Why would her husband have a phone number in his pocket?
She finished putting the load of laundry in the washer, and took the paper with the phone number to her computer. She sat there nervously pondering whether she should trust her husband and question him, or if she should look up this phone number to see who it belonged to. After careful consideration, she decided to look it up. The reason being, if it belonged to another women, he would deny it and lie.
She went to her online directory, chose reverse look up and typed in the phone number that she had found. She paused for a moment before she pressed the submit button and with anticipation and panic she submitted her request. Within a few seconds the response came back “this is a cell phone listed in Kansas” Just wonderful she thought.
Jane was left on this cloudy Sunday afternoon wondering and questioning her relationship. She had waken up that morning thinking it was just a regular Sunday, but that quickly changed as soon as she found that phone number. She was now left wondering if her husband was cheating on her, and had no way to find out the truth.
