Breast Augmentation: When You Aren't Happy with the Results

Unfortunately not every breast augmentation procedure goes through seamlessly. You may have disliked the results are soon as the recovery period was over. Maybe over time you realized that you weren't happy. Some people notice that over time the results have changed and need to be adjusted or fixed. Either way, you have options to consider.

Acceptance

If you are wavering back and forth about the changes you may not be sure about what you want to do. Some days you may look in the mirror and be happy with your appearance while others days just don't go as well. If this is the case you want to put off making any more changes to your breast augmentation until you are sure that you are ready for a change. It might make the situation more complicated to add another change onto an already difficult situation.

Finding yourself in this situation can be frustrating. Going back and forth about how you feel can be stressful and you may not know just what the next step should be. Consider attempting to accept the new changes. Make every effort to shop for clothes that will enhance your new look and make it a point to notice all of the positives that have come with the change. After a while you will reach a decision one way or the other; you will accept it or want to make a change.

Going Back to the Same Physician

You can choose to go back to the same surgeon that handled the original breast augmentation. He or she will be able to look back in your file, see what was done, and may have a better understanding of what you want to change. Be honest about the things that you are unhappy about and be very clear on the new changes that you would like to see.

Don't feel obligated to go back to the same offices. If you aren't happy with the way the procedure was handled or the results, you do not have to go back. It is possible to start over completely with a new surgeon.

Finding Someone New

When you make an appointment with a new surgeon, be sure to let him or her know that you are coming in for a consultation to change and existing breast augmentation. You can bring along any information that you have about the first procedure and even get a copy of your medical information from the previous office. This will bring your surgeon up to date quickly and give him or her some perspective on where you are coming from.

Just like with any surgeon you want to be completely honest about the changes that you want to see. However, in the same way, be sure that you listen to what your options are and attempt to understand just what can be done in terms of a solution.
